North
Park is named for being just north of Balboa Park. It is a suburban
neighborhood that takes most of its architectural design from the 1930s
with Craftsman bungalows that have been cared after over the years.
Residents take pride in accenting homes with flower gardens, mature
trees, and pure TLC.
North
Park real estate sits on tree lined streets with cul de sacs facing
canyons. Views are of plenty. Neighborhoods are friendly and quaint with
local coffee shops and mom-and-pop businesses. North Park’s central
artery, University Avenue, is sprouting up new businesses and shopping
along the street keeps improving.
North
Park has a new recreation center that features a baseball field and a
treasured landmark, the North Park Theatre. Toyland Parade, one of the
oldest in California, traipses through every December. North Park is
also convenient to so many locations including: Downtown with hundreds
of restaurants, Horton Plaza, and the new baseball park; Balboa Park
including several museums, a stage theatre, and the San Diego Zoo; Old
Town which captures the era that San Diego was first settled with
Mexican tradition and wonderful food; Hillcrest with unique shops,
restaurants, eclectic streets, and an upbeat feel.
