Boulevard is an unincorporated town off of Interstate 8 and Highway 94 (also called Old U.S. Highway 80.) Boulevard is just north of the Mexico border and just east of Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Land is slightly hilly and scattered boulders and trees dot the landscape.

Boulevard real estate is on rolling hills with distant mountain views. Many homes were built in the 1920s and 1930s, but newer homes have popped up with interior amenities like hot tubs and higher ceilings. Some homes are built on clearings and have no landscape, others are built amongst the trees and have cozier yards. Farms are common with horses and chickens, as open land is abundant.

Schools are in nearby Manzanita and Jacumba. Mountain Empire Unified School District serves Boulevard and surrounding areas of San Diego’s East County.Hot springs draw tourists and residents alike to nearby Jacumba for the Hot Springs Spa.

Jacumba is located on the southeastern border of San Diego County, 65 miles from Downtown San Diego, and on the northern border of Mexico. Jacumba real estate is modest and spread out, expressing a simple and quiet lifestyle on the outskirts of San Diego County. Homes were slowly built from the turn of the century up to today, enjoying vast land and some greenery, too.

Residents have views of the Cleveland National forest and the surrounding mountains. Hot springs draw tourists and residents alike to this natural luxury and the Jacumba Hot Springs Spa. Other outdoor attractions include Desert Tower, Smuggler’s Cave and Corriso Gorge. Mountain Empire Unified School District serves Jacumba, Descanso, Pine Valley, Tecate, Campo, and Potrero; all are areas of San Diego’s East County.
